Gagne started at Mechanics Hall 30 years ago after a conversation with a friend on a soccer field, initially as the publicist. She immersed herself in learning the history and significance of Mechanics Hall, which is considered one of the finest pre-Civil War performance halls in the country. As executive director for the past 7 years, Gagne has focused on increasing musical programming, preserving the historic building, and engaging the community. It's been a dream job for Gagne, "I've never, ever in all those years woken up in the morning and said, oh, I have to go to work today." She says she's ready for what comes next, "I want to get really smart about something I don't know anything about yet."

He is clear that he loves his job as Sheriff and the impact he is able to make but that he has not closed the door on running for Governor. Sheriff Lew lays out the differences he has with Governor Maura Healey and among those differences is immigration and how the migrant crisis has been handled.
